Five Ways to Incorporate Your Venue At A Winery Wedding
We love a winery wedding and here in Virginia we are fortunate to have an abundance of beautiful vinyards to choose from. For Betsy and Josh Bogart’s wedding at the exceptional Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, we brought together a super talented team of vendors to create a truly toast-worthy day.
FLORAL
Maryam Flowers did a beautiful job weaving clusters of grapes and grapevine with Betsy’s favorite roses onto the outdoor chuppah. Table centerpieces also featured luscious grapes integrated into the centerpieces.
FOOD
Stone Tower’s award winning wine flowed while Catering by Seasons provided delicious food and cocktails for the reception. “We love working with our couples to help them create the perfect menu for their celebration – one that suits their style, taste and budget. But, when couples give us the opportunity to work directly with their venue and planning and design team to create a menu that seamlessly blends the culinary into the vision for the overall event, well, that’s when the magic happens.” said Season’s Glynis Keith. “We started with a specialty cocktail that was created around the winery’s most popular red, the first course was salad of mixed greens and roasted grapes and the entrée selections included short ribs with a cabernet reduction. Large bunches of red and white grapes, wine bottles, wine barrels, and wooden wine crates were woven into the centerpieces and food displays to create a totally immersive experience for the guests.”
DECOR
We know that little touches matter and make a big impact on guests. Name place cards anchored in wine corks and were crafted by Jodi Frank of Frank Communication Solutions who also designed the menu cards at each table. A2Z Music Factory enhanced the dance floor with professional lighting and a super fun GoBo of clinking wine glasses and Josh and Betsy’s names.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPPHY
Wineries are the perfect location for stunning photography. Our photographer, Pamela Leopold, took advantage of the abundance of all the natural light and beautiful backdrops that Stone Tower provides. She captured some touching moments among the vines, out in the open spaces and in the stunning cellar as well. Aerial Illustrations did an amazing job capturing the day on film including dramatic bird’s eye view coverage of the winery and grounds.
GIFTS AND FAVORS
And of course you want to leave guests with a little something to remember the day by. The wedding party received cute and useful Virginia Is For Lovers canvas tote bags and guests were treated with a wine glass of their own to take home.
