Fun With Mitzvah Themes

Your child’s mitzvah is a time for him or her to shine! As with everything we do, we love taking it to the next level, so when a kid tells us what makes them unique and what they love - we run with it! Here are a few of our favorites.

The eclectic Mansion on O Street in Dupont Circle, with it’s 100 rooms, seven secret doors, a dizzy-making staircase and Tiffany stained glass windows, was the perfect location for magic-loving Elijah’s celebration. Guests dressed up in roaring 20’s attire for photos and dancing and were entertained by the amazing magician and illusionist Magic of Speed.

For Broadway enthusiast Nora, we enlisted Something Fabulous to create table number centerpieces with images of playbills from her favorite shows, had a marquee made of her name in lights and served her favorite intermission treats at a drool-worthy table created by Glam Candy Buffets.

Ryan’s dad works in the game industry so games are a big part of his family’s life. His guests found their seats by first solving puzzles to receive their escort card. Glam Candy Buffets provided a mouth watering buffet with merengue chess pieces and other edible game piece treats. Todd with Electric Events led games on the dance floor and kept everyone on their toes and everyone went home with customized playing cards.

For beach-loving Lily, we created a neon underwater-themed party that turned out to be both beautiful and a ton of fun. Lily’s guests dressed in neon and danced in blacklight to DJ MC Tee of Washington Talent Agency. The super creative DaVinci Florists set up centerpieces made of clustered cylinders filled with water and floating “jellyfish” lit from underneath creating a dreamy under the ocean affect.

Future rock star Rory led her friends and family in song from the stage with a little help from a DJ and professional dancers from Unique Dreams Entertainment. Guests were given a VIP lanyard name badge, signed good wishes onto Rory’s new purple guitar and danced the night away under disco balls and confetti cannons.
